Jaylene and I do not share that opinion. Having all volunteers is great for a rebel group, but countries should not have to depend on a volunteer army. It
gives people the false impression that what we have is not only easy to get, but easy to maintain.
Every country in the world has their citizens serve in the military. Switzerland in particular has every male serve for five years, then they are "on call" until
the age of forty-five.
It is our patriotic duty to serve.
Although that argument is less convincing than "Hey, if everyone's in the military, everyone can go to college!"
And before you ask, I have yet to find a branch of the military that wants a nearly blind, painfully shy cartoonist. The search continues.
At least I vote.
